(Well, not quite new. But definitely super.)
The process of fermentation pre-digests foods, making them exceptionally bioavailable.
Our products are lab tested & verified to contain billions of colony forming units (CFUs) per serving.
fermentation creates new & enhanced nutrients through its metabolic process, boosting B vitamins especially.
ferments are high in prebiotics, insoluble fiber that feeds & nourishes your gut flora.
The lactic acid in ferments removes toxins & eliminates bad bacteria, making them intrinsically food safe.
Fermentation creates naturally occurring probiotics that stimulate & strengthen the resident microbiome, when consistently consumed.
We use a mineral-rich, pure and unrefined Mediterranean sea salt. It is non-iodized and contains no caking agents or added preservatives.
We source most of our vegetables from local farms. That means just 1-2 days between harvest and fermentation; this preserves phytonutrients and creates a more nutritious product.
Pickles containing vinegar or sugar are not lactic-acid fermented and are therefore not a probiotic, gut-healthy pickle. Period.
Some call it ‘wild fermentation’ because it creates an abundant growth of natural, live probiotics. Pasteurization would kill these live cultures, so we don’t do it.
Scramble or fry up 2 - 3 whole eggs in butter, ghee or coconut oil, along with some spinach. Enjoy with kimchi or kraut on the side.
Toss a salad with mixed greens, avocado, veggies, raw seeds and a generous pour of extra virgin olive oil. Top with a serving of kraut along with the brine, no salad dressing necessary.
Pick your protein and saute a large portion (half a plate) of greens - kale, chard or spinach with garlic, coconut oil and sea salt. Pickle on the side.
I love it because it really does help with inflammation. I had swelling in my left calf & thought I had a blood clot because it was painful sometimes. I was under chronic stress for several years & probably built up a lot of cortisol in my body. I could tell something was wrong & researched foods that help eliminate inflammation, and Turmeric was one of them. I had purchased one bag awhile back but didn't eat it very often. After seeing the swelling in my calf one evening, I ate about 3 tablespoons of the Turmeric + Cumin Kraut and the next morning the swelling had gone down. I was pretty shocked that it worked that quickly, so I bought two bags and eat it regularly now. It's amazing what fermented foods can do for your digestion and your entire body. I'm a permanent fan. I also like Red + Ginger Kraut. I have to say, I've tried other brands that are cheaper and some that are the same price as OMP's but none of them taste as good as OMP's & most have either sugar or vinegar in them. Thank you for making quality products.
What an amazing testimony! Thank you so much for sharing your story. We're so glad to hear that our ferments have been able to help your health in such a positive way. Peace & Pickles 🥒
I LOVE this kraut! I'm not kidding. It actually makes me nervous to try other Olive My Pickle krauts because what if I DON'T love them as much? Nonetheless, I must persevere!
Here are two different ways I've eaten it so far:
Turmeric + Cumin Fermented Kraut. Pictured on a BeyondMeat hot Italian sausage, brioche bun, spicy jalapeno mustard, and dill relish. So good!
Breakfast bowl with ImpossibleFoods breakfast sausage, sweet peppers, spinach, Olive My Pickle Turmeric & Cumin kraut, fried egg, Irish Spike's Black & Gold Pepper & Mustard hot sauce. AMAZING kick added by the kraut!
I LOVE this kraut. It's definitely the best kraut I've ever had in my life. Pictured with a Beyond Meat Hot Italian sausage, a bakery brioche bun, spicy jalapeno mustard, and dill relish. SO GOOD. I can't wait to try this kraut in more meals -- salads, rice bowls, etc.
With Turmeric and Cumin Kraut and a side of Onion Pickles salad dressing is not needed! I love olive my pickle products and so does my low carb diet!
My low carb Hebrew dogs wrapped in romaine lettuce with turmeric and cumin kraut. This is by far my favorite of the Krauts! Yummy!
